For the more traditional, children can make a Beaded Necklace or Bracelet – An opportunity to make pieces of jewellery using our large ranges of glass and acrylic beads. This involves choosing your beads, threading them and adding a silver plated clasp using the tools provided. (For younger children, Emily will add the clasp – with the help of the children of course!)
For younger children our Elasticated Bracelets are very popular as there are no clasps to deal with and no use of tools.
Also popular with both young and old are Memory Wire Bracelets and Memory Wire Necklaces. These clever pieces of wire keep their circular shape without the need for a clasp.
For those wanting something a little different we have all the materials to make Key-rings and Mobile Phone charms – Using chain and specially made key-rings and mobile phone lanyards, children have the opportunity to make a dangly, beaded key-ring (also lovely to use as decoration for a bag or jacket) and a mobile phone charm to hang off a phone or hand held computer (or anything with a hole that they can loop it through!)
Older girls will enjoy learning how to make charms using beads and wire loops using a variety of tools, to then attach them to a silver plated chain to make a charm bracelet.
For those with pierced ears or wishing to make a gift for their mum, sister or friend, there is the opportunity to make a pair of earrings.
